The Verigolds create music that is inspired by the sonic currents that cross between the beaches and deserts of Southern California. The Verigolds debut album "For Margaret" won Best Indie/Alternative Album at the 2017 San Diego Music Awards. The album also gained national and international attention from Huffington Post, National Geographic, BBC London, AXS.com as well as SoCal Radio Stations and landed them a spot at the major music festivals Lightning in a Bottle in 2018 and KAABOO in 2016. Their 2017 single "Walk on Water", produced by Ed Stasium (Ramones/Talking Heads) marked a new turn for The Verigolds which are known for blending inspirations like indie, electronic, pop, folk, rock, and psych.
For their latest EP "Sea of Zebras" (premiered by BuzzBands.LA on 10/26/18), they worked with the production team of Michael Nicastro (Magic Bronson) and Mike Malchicoff (King Princess). Sea of Zebras explores the "cool pond of indie electronica with haunting atmospherics more like Phantogram than any artist the Verigolds might have called an influence before".
